Easy-to-Make Infused Water Recipes

Infusing water combinations are as delectable as they are endless. With just a little prep time, you can create incredibly refreshing and delightful beverages.

Here are some recipes to stir things up—whether you enjoy them at home alone or with friends at a party. We’ll make it easy to help you craft infused water that’s unique, flavorful and hydrating.

Apple & Cinnamon Splash

When the weather turns cooler, hydrating doesn’t come as naturally as during the warm-weather months. This recipe blends complementary flavors of apples and cinnamon that’s ready to enjoy from autumn to spring. Don’t love apples? Try pears or peeled oranges instead.

Instructions

  1. Slice two apples into thin slices

  2. Then combine the sliced apples with four cinnamon sticks in a pitcher

  3. Add cold water to the apple slices and cinnamon

  4. Infuse the water in your refrigerator for four to twenty-four hours, to your taste. More infusion time may be required since apples take longer to infuse

  5. Stir well, strain and remove any solids

  6. For a stronger infused flavor, let your infusion sit at room temperature for half an hour

  7. Serve and enjoy! (For a bubbly twist: use sparkling water in step 3 and add more sparkling water to your infusion right before serving for fresh bubbles)

Cranberry Lime Holiday Cheer

You’re busy enough during the holidays, but it doesn’t take much time to make this festive red and green delight from ingredients you may already have on hand: cranberries and lime.

Instructions

  1. Remove the pith and rind from your limes

  2. Slice your limes into round slices, about ¼-inch thick

  3. Take your fresh cranberries and poke holes in them with a fork or muddle/mash them to break the skin

  4. Place all fruit in your container of choice: pitcher, large jar or jug

  5. Fill container with cold water (still or spring)

  6. Infuse the mix in the refrigerator for one to twelve hours, to your taste

  7. Before serving, stir and strain to remove solids. Garnish with fresh cranberries, lime and sugar rim.

  8. Pour for happy holidays! (For a bubbly twist: use sparkling water in step 5 and add more to your infusion right before serving for fresh bubbles)

Watermelon Summer Soiree

Pretty, pink and ready to refresh your summer, watermelon is a highly beneficial fruit that’s low in calories and high in flavor—like a little vacation in every glass. This cool, refreshing infusion can turn a dog day into a dream day while keeping you hydrated as well.

Instructions

  1. Remove watermelon rind and cut watermelon into small squares. Add the squares to your container (smaller squares for small vessels and larger squares for pitchers and large jars or jugs)

  2. Add water to your container and refrigerate for two to four hours, to your taste

  3. Serve over ice in a tall glass with a few fresh small watermelon squares for some added flavor

  4. Add mint as a garnish – for extra flavor, muddle the mint in the bottom of the glass, then add your infused water

Bonus tip: make flavor-filled ice cubes

Don't know what to do with your leftover ingredients? Experiment by adding chopped or thinly sliced leftovers to an ice tray for freezing. Flavored ice cubes offer a creative way to chill your drinks while adding subtle flavor and visual garnish when serving. If you want to add a modern look to your infused drinks, you can make clearer ice cubes by using boiled distilled water.
